In the rugged Pacific Northwest lies the Olympic National Forest—nearly a million acres of impenetrable darkness and impossible beauty. From deep within this old growth forest, a six-year-old girl appears. Speechless and alone, she offers no clue as to her identity, no hint of her past.

Having retreated to her western Washington hometown after a scandal left her career in ruins, child psychiatrist Dr. Julia Cates is determined to free the extraordinary little girl she calls Alice from a prison of unimaginable fear and isolation. To reach her, Julia must discover the truth about Alice’s past—although doing so requires help from Julia’s estranged sister, a local police officer. The shocking facts of Alice’s life test the limits of Julia’s faith and strength, even as she struggles to make a home for Alice—and for herself.

B-RANDS REVIEW: 2/5 DANCING TREES

Hello, Fellow Bookworms!

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my latest book review!

I want to start positively by saying I am a huge Kristin Hannah fan as I am sure you all can tell from my book library on my page! To my belief, you can imagine how surprised I was to find myself using the book as a sleep aid rather than hurrying to see what happens on the next page. I could not for the life of me get into this book. I wanted to stop reading it multiple times but I toughed it out until the last around 50 pages and then I skimmed through them to get it over with. I liked the concept but the progression in the book was slow and unexciting. It lacked pizazz if you will. If you agree with me or disagree with me don't forget to let me know! Pick this book up and see what the bore was about haha, all my love for Kristin Hannah though. Her other reads were phenomenal.

Do you believe that a child can be raised by wolves?

  • Yes, an animal knows how to care for babies.

  • No, It's just not possible, at all.

"Reading fictional books are shown to increase better decision-making in people by 50% to 100%"
